3 - Sleeping
This blog post will talk about
something that students are fond of doing of.
An activity that will make teachers angry but will make students happy
during class discussions. An activity that relaxes our body and our soul. It is
none other than the most important activity that our body needs for us to grow
and for us to have energy. And my topic is about sleeping, with this let me the
talking about sleeping.
Based on a science reference
I found in the internet, sleep is said to be a behavioral state that is a
natural part of every individual’s life. We spend about one-third of our lives
asleep. Nonetheless, most of us don’t even know what the importance of sleep
is. Sleeping is not an activity to fill our time when we are not doing
something. Sleeping is not an activity for us to do when we are in a boring
class, but sleeping is a required activity for our mental activities. Don’t you ever realized that when we have
enough sleep we recognize things precisely and accurately? We should have enough
sleep for our brain and body to function better, for us to do things with
energy and in a faster basis. So when we have extra time we should not focus on
playing gadgets or something but we shall put some time for our body to rest.
We should not forget to sleep. It is for our own sake.
Before I end my speech, I
would like to share to you one fact that might happen due to lack of sleep.
When we are experiencing being sleepy because of lack of sleep it can lead us
to danger. My reference stated that problem sleepiness can be deadly.
Approximately 100,000 automobile crashes each year result from drivers who were
“asleep at the wheel.” In a survey of drivers in New York State, approximately
25 percent reported they had fallen asleep at the wheel at some time. Crashes in which the driver falls
asleep are especially common among young male drivers. In addition to the high risk of automobile
crashes, problem sleepiness can cause difficulties with learning, memory,
thinking, and feelings, which may lead to poor school and work performance and
difficulty with relationships.
I now know why I always want to sleep everyday. I am more determined to sleep more and more thanks to your blog post. I'm gonna sleep now. :P
